Sue West, Vice-President Global Manufacturing and Supply

Sue West was appointed Vice-President, Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) in July 2010 where she leads the company's Canadian Pharma Manufacturing function which includes production, logistics, engineering, technical development, quality control and quality assurance.
Sue began her career with GlaxoSmithKline (South Africa) in 1988 and has progressed through a number of key roles in production, logistics, project management and commercial areas of the organization. Prior to her appointment to Vice-President, Sue held the position of Director of Production, driving significant change by utilizing her strong background in lean manufacturing practices and employee engagement. Prior to joining GSK, Sue held progressive manufacturing management positions in other pharmaceutical companies in South Africa and in retail pharmacy and hospital pharmacy.
Sue holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Rhodes University (South Africa) and a Master of Studies degree from Cambridge University (United Kingdom).
