The Gift of Life
GlaxoSmithKline is a major donor of medical products to disaster relief efforts. But how does it get donated medicines to areas devastated by disaster?
Established in Canada in 1989, The GlaxoSmithKline Foundation is committed to finding creative ways to build sustainable community partnerships. We help to make positive differences in the quality of life of Canadians by promoting and improving the health of individuals and communities.
With a focus on health and wellness, The GSK Foundation supports and works with registered Canadian charities, primarily in the areas of healthcare and health promotion, science education, hospice palliative care, and local community initiatives. For charitable organizations with a focus on a specific disease state, only those whose work is directly aligned to areas in which GSK has a medicine or product approved for market in Canada will be considered for funding.
